Intumescent Fireproof Coating
VeryPaint® SP-9316 is a two-component epoxy intumescent fireproof coating featuring excellent film formation and strong adhesion, with 100% solid content and no solvent emissions.
When exposed to a 1200°C flame, the coating expands over 50 times its original thickness, providing outstanding high-temperature resistance and thermal insulation performance. It is a halogen-free, environmentally safe system compatible with epoxy zinc-rich primers and polyaspartic polyurea topcoats for enhanced corrosion and weather resistance.

Application Notes
At ambient temperatures below 20°C, the material may become highly viscous. It is recommended to add dedicated epoxy thinner to ensure good application performance and sprayability.
Fire Resistance Test
The following test evaluated SP-9316 applied at a dry film thickness of 0.5 mm on different substrates including mica board and aluminum alloy plate.
- Uncoated steel plates exceeded 600°C within approximately 3 minutes under flame exposure. This temperature reaches the phase transition point of low-carbon steel, significantly reducing its structural strength and load-bearing capacity.
- In contrast, substrates coated with SP-9316 maintained backside temperatures below 200°C within 30 minutes of flame exposure. This substantially improves operational safety and passive fire protection performance.
