Waterborne Nano Silicone Resin for Zinc-Aluminum Coating
VeryPaint® WR-3619 is a high-performance waterborne nano silicone resin for zinc-aluminum coatings, synthesized from special silicone monomers and functional polymers. It is supplied as a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid.
Designed for water-based chrome-free zinc-aluminum coating systems, WR-3619 provides excellent anti-corrosion performance, strong adhesion, and self-drying properties. Its nano silicone structure helps form a dense and durable protective film with outstanding weather resistance. WR-3619 is an ideal binder for zinc-aluminum anti-corrosion coatings, cold galvanizing alternative coatings, and corrosion repair coatings for steel structures, pipelines, towers, and large industrial equipment. It offers a sustainable and effective solution for long-term metal protection.

- Self-drying anti-corrosion systems for large equipment components
- Repair of existing anti-corrosion coatings
- Cold galvanizing alternatives requiring fast drying and strong adhesion
Usage Guidelines
Recommended mixing ratio: Resin to flake zinc powder (wet-process zinc) = 7:3 by weight. Optionally add 0.2% TEGO 270.
Mixing procedure: Slowly add zinc powder into the resin while stirring; stir for 5 minutes, then filter using a 120-mesh screen.
Application method: Spray directly onto properly treated metal surfaces.
Curing schedule:
- Surface dries in 1 hour at room temperature
- Fully cured in 4 hours
- Salt spray resistance testing requires curing for more than 7 days
Surface preparation: All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry, and free from contaminants, and prepared according to ISO 8504 standards.
Application conditions:
- Ambient relative humidity should not exceed 85%
- Substrate temperature should be at least 3°C above the dew point
- Temperature and humidity should be measured near the work area on the substrate
Coating thickness: When used with flake zinc powder, a coating thickness of 10–20μm is recommended.
Formulation notes: In formulation design, any additives or pigments/fillers should be tested for compatibility and stability with the resin. Additives that react with the resin may affect formulation stability.
