Polyurethane-Modified Silicone Emulsion

Polyurethane-Modified Silicone Emulsion

VeryPaint® WR-3410 is a highly transparent, one-component self-crosslinking waterborne resin synthesized through the reaction of organosilicon monomers with specially modified polyurethane polymers. It contains a low level of hydroxyl functionality, providing an excellent balance of transparency, weather resistance, water resistance, and environmental performance.

As a high-performance eco-friendly resin, WR-3410 is widely used in for a wide range of applications including exterior architectural coatings, industrial protective coatings, decorative clear topcoats, and heat-resistant wood coating systems.

Usage Guidelines

WR-3410 can generally be used directly after dilution. Amine neutralizers are not recommended. Associative polyurethane thickeners are preferred for viscosity adjustment. Small amounts of solvent may be incorporated if necessary during formulation. Slight sedimentation may occur during long-term storage; stir thoroughly before use.

Typical curing performance:

  • Surface dry: approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
  • Initial strength development: approximately 2 hours
  • Washable after approximately 5 hours
  • Optimal final performance achieved after approximately 15 days curing

Additional recommendations:

  • Performance evaluation should be conducted after complete curing
  • Aziridine crosslinker may be added to accelerate curing; recommended dosage is approximately 1.5% based on resin solids
  • Hydroxyl content is approximately 0.4%
  • Recommended water dilution should not exceed 50%
  • Compatibility testing with pigments and additives is recommended before large-scale production, as reactive additives may affect formulation stability
